The Academy provides both a means and a place where people can ask questions about important educational issues, then gather together to talk, study, and respond to those issues.

The Critical Questions in Education conference is the public place where twice a year we gather together and respond to a theme question (or questions). Teacher educators, other university faculty, graduate students, and K—12 teachers and administrators talk to and learn from one another at the conference, and all are invited to continue to study and learn together, beyond that gathering. And then we share what we’ve come to understand in books and journal articles.
